Our approach
Consideration of risk begins with a clear philosophy.
Our approach reflects a commitment to learning and to helping boards find new and better ways to manage risk .
Our approach to risk consultancy and board/NED advisory draws on six simple, universal principles or truths about risk, presented here in the form of a handrail or pointers which allow us to navigate our way without the diversion of complex language, models or frameworks
01
02
Risk represents the meaning of uncertainty, in value terms
Risk is not characterised by isolated components, parallel layers or clean lines
03
04
Considerations of risk are unique to the settings within which they take place
Most crisis events, constitute a failure of strategic risk management
05
06
Resilience doesn’t simply make organisations indifferent to events
The board must be focused on revealing the organisation’s risk reality
